Our Story

BW   Energy Consultants, Inc  was formed  as a sole proprietorship   January 1, 1998  by  Bob  Washmon d/b/a  BW  Energy Consulting.   Incorporated   in  2002  as   BW  Energy Consultants, Inc. our goal has  been and  remains providing  quality,  professiona l land   services  to the  Ark-La-Tex  Region, the  Arkoma Region and beyond. Mr. Washmon started as an Independent Landman in 1981, working through various brokers for a broad client base.  He joined TXO Production Corp. in 1984 as an in house Landman in the Tyler Regional Office.  Responsibilities were in the East Texas  Basin,  primarily  in Freestone,  Leon  and Robertson  Counties .    In  1990,  Mr.  Washmon joined  Sonat Exploration  Company in  their Tyler Office.  He  served  the East Texas Business Unit before moving to the Western Shelf Business Unit which  he  was  instrumental  in  getting  up   and running.  Mr. Washmon left Sonat in December of 1997  to  start  his  own land consulting business.  Our core of seasoned professionals and associates has  combined  property  acquisition  and  sales experience  in  excess  of  1billion  dollars  in transactions. We offer the Microsoft Office suite of software  though  we  also  have Word Perfect and Filemaker  Pro  capabilities.   With  regards  to mapping, we have ESRI capabilities and we can produce Autocad maps as well. The skills and experience  we  bring  to  our  clients,  actively negotiating leases, buying rights-of-way, settling damage  claims,  working  with  sophisticated landowners   and  interacting   with   company executives on property sales and acquisitions,  gives  our  organization  an  edge  over  the   competition to help the client realize its goal of completing a project on time and within budget.
