Our History

BW Energy Consultants, Inc. was formed January 1, 1998 by Bob Washmon as a sole proprietorship. Incorporated January 1, 2002 as BW Energy Consultants, Inc. our goal has been and will remain providing quality, professional land services to the Ark-La-Tex Region and beyond. Mr. Washmon started as an Independent Landman in 1981, working through various brokers for a broad client base. He joined TXO Production Corp. in 1984 as an in house Landman in the Tyler Regional Office. Responsibilities were in the East Texas Basin, primarily in Freestone, Leon and Robertson Counties. In 1990, Mr. Washmon joined Sonat Exploration Company in their Tyler Office. He served the East Texas Business Unit before moving to the Western Shelf Business Unit which he was instrumental in getting started. Mr. Washmon left Sonat in December of 1997 to start his own land consulting business.
